About

TSP
Project

This May, the Running Club Catalans takes on Southbound 400: an unofficial, unsanctioned relay from Rouses Point, New York, to the southernmost tip of Manhattan. One long line down the state, one shared GPS tracker, and a team moving through day and night.

At 5 a.m., around a hundred runners gather on a highway shoulder a mile south of the U.S.-Canada border. The race is split into three 135-mile segments along New York's Empire State Trail, with cumulative times deciding the winner.

For the full duration of Southbound 400, teams must be entirely self-sufficient: food, water, gas, route-finding, and problem-solving are all on them. No baton changes hands; runners trade a GPS tracker, and if someone drifts off course, their teammates have to find them.

Sharing

We believe in the power of collective adventures to inspire, unite, and transform. This platform isn't just a race logbook, it's a bridge connecting runners with the entire RCC community. Everyone can follow the adventure in real time, interact, offer encouragement, and share their energy. Beyond the kilometers traveled, it's our shared bond that forms the true strength of our club.
